Congratulations are in order for Reservoir High School visual arts students Imari Marshall and Merry Meyers. No more "fridge d'art" for them! Their art is now on display at Miller Branch of the Howard County Library.
It's part of a display that celebrates Youth Art Month. You have the whole month of March to enjoy the display. The library branch is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.
Congratulations to their teachers Greg English, Christine Long, Danielle Klim and William Borja for their dedication to their students.
The Reservoir High School Orchestra program had three of their members perform in with the Howard County GT Orchestra in a side-by-side performance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. They are Kayla Krammes on the violin, Thomas Chung on the viola and Jordan Budzinski on the bass violin. Congratulations.
George and Ann Mech are coordinating the annual WSSC watershed cleanup on Saturday, April 4, rain or shine. The meet-up places are the Big Branch parking lot on Triadelphia Road or the Pigtail parking lot on Greenbridge Road (extended). Make sure you wear the appropriate clothing (boots, gloves, long pants, etc).
For more information or to ask a question, you can contact George or Ann at 301-854-0886 or drop them an email at gpmech@verizon.net.
Don't forget that this Saturday, March 14, is Scouting for Food. Your local Scouts will be by after 8 a.m. to pick up those bags filled with nonperishable and unexpired foodstuffs.
Happy birthday to our daughter Christie Dillard and happy belated birthday to her husband Josh.
