Feeling hungry? On Saturday, March 8, from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Youth Ministry at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville presents the 34th annual Italian Dinner.
This annual event features spaghetti with homemade meatballs and sauce or, if you prefer, lasagna. It also includes garlic bread, soft drinks (tea, coffee and soda pop) and homemade desserts. The cost is still reasonable: For spaghetti, it's $10 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under. Lasagna is $2 more. There is also a combo plate of lasagna and spaghetti for $15. Bring your whole (immediate) family, up to 6 people, for $40. What a deal!

Reservoir High School GT Independent Research Student Amanda O'Shaughnessy was selected as a member of Maryland Youth Leadership Team.
As part of her duties, Amanda will help launch a dual-pronged initiative addressing Type 2 diabetes and obesity. At the recent kick-off meeting, Amanda was commended by the program directors for her leadership skills.

It's that time of the year again when the Boys Scouts of America go "Scouting for Food." The pick-up day is the morning of Saturday, March 14.
A few days prior to this day, the Scouts, including Cubs and Girl Scouts, will be out in the neighborhoods, dropping off plastic carry-bags into which you can place your donations. They are looking for unexpired foodstuffs such as canned goods, boxes of cold cereal, fruit cups, peanut butter, jelly, etc.
The collected donations will be delivered to one of 25 food pantries that the Scouts service in the county. Remember to put your donations by your front door or your mailbox by 8 a.m. on March 14. For more information, send an email to scoutingforfoodnpd@verizon.net.
