Williams was Rider Jordan's counselor for three years. Jordan said that Williams had a way of showing that every single student mattered to him. "He remembered every little snippet you would ever tell him, and he was so helpful. There was literally no problem you could have as a student that he couldn't solve," according to Jordan. Williams always had time for the students, and was quick to rearrange his schedule to help a student with a problem. He greeted every student with, "What can I do for you?" and actually listened to, and remembered, the things the students told him. He would find answers to all the questions the students asked, and Jordan describes him as the quintessential guidance counselor, who will be greatly missed.
