The Leo Club at Folly Quarter Middle School has done it again. Their latest service project involved collecting items to be used in motel boxes for the Grassroots Homeless Shelter in Howard County.
When Grassroots does not have enough room at the shelter, people in need are sent to motels for temporary housing, with boxes containing enough food supplies for two days. The Leo Club assembled 26 motel boxes including $410 worth of gift cards to grocery stores.
They managed this accomplishment shortly after raising over $2,000 for Neighborhood Network. These students are actively living the Lions Club motto, "We Serve," and are great assets to our community.
