When we think of spring, many things come to mind; but, for a lot of people, cleaning and hunting sit high upon the list. This week, our community is offering a little bit of both.
From making dreams of renovations come true to sitting down and enjoying the spoils of the huntsmen, two of our own community churches are where it's at for public life in Elkridge this late March and early April.
For those of you who do not know, the parish hall of Grace Episcopal Church in Elkridge hosts many community organizations by allowing them to use its space for their meetings and events.
A longstanding institution in Elkridge, the hall is in need of renovation to continue its use as a meeting place for the community. To remedy this situation, the congregation of Grace Episcopal Church will be holding a bake sale on Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. until the goodies sell out.
The bake sale will be held in the parish hall at 6725 Montgomery Road. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Another community organization, CrossLife Community Church, seeks your fellowship. CrossLife Community Church's Men's Ministry is hosting a Wild Game Dinner, which is open to all who care to purchase a ticket. The dinner will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Grace Fellowship Hall, 6725 Montgomery Road, Elkridge.
There will be a speaker, C.J. Winand, who is known through Bowhunter magazine as a wildlife biologist and contributor. Tickets are $50, must be purchased by March 30 and may be acquired by emailing David Maier at Maierrs7@gmail.com or by calling 410-796-0605.
