Members of Triadelphia Adventist Church can be spotted out in the cold, dressed as people might have been attired in the days of Charles Dickens as they go caroling through the neighborhood.

Members at Christ Lutheran Church have taken a different approach to caroling this year. They will host "Reverse Caroling" on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. in the church at 12570 Route 108. They invite you to come inside and be warm as you join in singing carols.

An added feature will be brief background information on some favorite Christmas carols and songs. All singers and listeners are invited to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies afterward.

It'll be a great event for those who love to sing at Christmas and those who love to listen. Bring the entire family, neighbors and friends.

For more information, go to http://www.christlutheran.net. You may also call the church office at 301-854-2100 or send email to office@christlutheran.net.

Ed and Mary Ellen (Mel) Ludy Ernst are quite certain that there's no place like home for a holiday. The weatherman indicated severe thunderstorms and heavy rain at best between Naples, Fla., and Dayton. That didn't dampen their spirits.

Mary Ellen insisted the trip wasn't bad at all. They made the long interstate journey just to spend a few days with family over Thanksgiving and then drove right back.
