When Margaret Walton said, "We were in the hospital from Dec. 12-26," I was surprised and thought surely she misspoke. Soon, I realized that she had not misspoken. Randy Walton was the patient, but Margaret was also in the hospital. Margaret stayed in the hospital as his 24/7 advocate and caretaker. It's hard to say who was more exhausted when they arrived home.

Having wonderful neighbors bring Christmas dinner to the hospital and a steady stream of food after the Waltons arrived home was a huge blessing. They send thanks to all their good neighbors not just for the food, but for the love and caring that prompted their generous actions.

A special thanks goes to Cowboy Hopkins for loading a cord of wood on the porch and keeping the fire burning. He keeps the supply replenished, too.

It would have been nice to spend Christmas in Florida with the children and grandchildren, but that couldn't happen this year. They were able to FaceTime grandchildren, Annie, Jack and Randy Williams. Modern technology can be amazing. FaceTime is not quite as great as being there, but it was good.

Latest reports are that Randy Walton is recovering very well. Soon they will be off and running — not literally, but up and going places.

Jeannette Kendall sent a note of thanks for your continued support of Success In Style. Thanks to your donations and purchases at Phil's and Charity's shops in Savage Mill, hundreds of people were able to enter the workforce with confidence and proper work attire. They are reaching goals that were once not even a dream.
