Ellicott City Labor Day Running Classic enjoys strong turnout [Rec sports]

It was a beautiful day for the 11th annual Ellicott City Labor Day Running Classic 10K & 5K, which was held on Aug. 30 at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City.

Over 400 runners completed one of the two races, including 248 on the difficult and challenging 10K course.

The overall winner in the men's division was Karsten Brown of Front Royal, VA in a time of 36:33. The winner in the women's division was Megan DiGregorio of White Marsh in a time of 41:00.

In the 5K Road/Trail run, the overall winner in the men's division was Omari Daughtridge of Fort Washington in a time of 16:48. The winner in the women's division was Jenny Gannon of Glenelg in a time of 21:57.
