Glenelg County School opened its season with a 17-8 victory over Annapolis Area Christian School on Saturday, March 16.

"The team played smart lacrosse for 50 minutes," said coach Paige Walton. "The offense was clinking on all cylinders and the defense played solid man-to-man and team defense."


Nicole Rieu led the Dragons with four goals and two assists. Marissa Burks, Lauren Smith and Mallory Pappas each chipped in three goals. Pappas also had three assists.

Halftime: Glenelg Country, 10-6.

Chapelgate defeated FCA, 9-7, in an non-conference game on Friday, March 15. Chapelgate is 2-0 on the season.

The Howard County public schools start their season March 21.
