The Howard County Police Foundation 22nd annual Howard County Police Pace 5K race and 1-mile walk is scheduled for Sept. 8 at Centennial Park in Ellicott City.
The race, which benefits initiatives supported by the foundation, offers 50 performance awards, food courtesy of Outback Steakhouse, children's activities and a chance to win prizes. In addition, police will display cars, motorcycles and equipment from the K-9 and SWAT team units.
Race registration is $45 for individuals and $60 for families of up to four living in the same household. Registration includes entry to the race, an event T-shirt, food and a chance to win awards and prizes. Visit http://www.policepace.com to register.
