Realignment of a stretch of Landing Road in Ellicott City will begin on or about Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to Howard County officials.
The project will realign about 500 feet of Landing Road at Ilchester Road so that it ties in directly with Ilchester Point Court. A right turn lane will also be added to northbound Ilchester Road.
During the construction process, about 250 feet west of Royal Coachman Drive will be closed to through traffic, which will be directed to a detour on Marshalee Drive and Montgomery Road. Resident driveways along the project site will remain accessible.
The project is expected to be complete by early December.
