Three suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the International Halal Meat and Groceries market in Ellicott City, Howard County police announced Wednesday.
Police have charged Christian Shawn Croston, 19, of Columbia, Lavelle R. Roe, 28, of Catonsville, and Antwan Jermaine White, 22, of Columbia, with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, theft and the use of a firearm in a felony, according to a department release.
The alleged crime occurred April 27, when two suspects with handguns walked into the store, assaulted employees, demanded money, then fled, according to the police department.
Police were called to the 8700 block of Town and Country Blvd. around 9:52 p.m. While responding to the scene, an officer spotted a car driven by people who matched a description of the suspects and pulled them over in a Walmart parking lot, according to the police.
The driver and two suspects in the car were arrested, but a fourth fled, police said. Officers are still searching for the fourth suspect.
Croston, Roe and White are in the booking process, police said. Croston is being held on $100,000 bond, Roe is being held on no bond and White is being held on $85,000 bond.
