Two meetings to present plans for Elkridge library and 50+ Center

The team of architects working on designs for a new library and 50+ center in Elkridge will hold two community meetings to provide updates on the project Dec. 9.

The first meeting is scheduled for 2:15-3:15 p.m. and the second will run from 6:45-8:45 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the current Elkridge library branch, at 6540 Washington Blvd.

Representatives from Grimm & Parker Architects will present an overview of the library system's vision for the branch and introduce the DIY Education Center, a new curriculum component, according to a press release. The presentation will also review landscaping approach, the exterior concept for the building, floor plan and amenities. A similar presentation about the new 50+ Center will follow.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about the plans.
