Howard police investigate Lisbon PNC bomb threat hoax

Howard County police are investigating a bomb threat hoax at the PNC bank on 15920 Old Frederick Road in Lisbon Thursday afternoon.

According to police, around 4:15 p.m., a man walked into the bank with a briefcase and began talking to an employee. He then opened the case, which appeared to hold a suspicious device made to look like a possible explosive. Everyone walked out of the bank, leaving the briefcase inside.

When police arrived, officers spoke with the man, who said he picked someone up in Baltimore who gave him the briefcase and forced him to take it into the bank.

The man said the individual dropped him off at the bank and then drove off in the man's car.
