Derward Brooks, Angel Flight pilot

Derward Brooks, a North Laurel resident, volunteers to fly those with advanced medical issues up and down the East Coast as part of an organization called Angel Flight East. On a day in early June, he flew a woman with cancer from Philadelphia to Lynchburg, Va.
