Slate of candidates should apologize for sending out false information [Letter]

"Team Howard Slate," funded by Ken Ulman, Courtney Watson, Calvin Ball, Jen Terrasa, Guy Guzzone, and Anthony Brown, sent out mailers with false and misleading charges distorting the record of County Executive candidate and state Sen. Allan Kittleman, charges containing admitted inaccuracies.  I asked Senator Kittleman about the charges and he said that Councilman Calvin Ball called him and acknowledged the inaccuracies.

But after sending tens of thousands of mailers to Howard County voters, Courtney Watson and the "slate" have done nothing to correct and retract her false and misleading charges. This is the exact problem in American politics. Politicians put out false information in mailers and on the Internet and no one will see an apology or a correction in writing. I, for one, am appalled by this tactic and it assumes that voters are too dumb or apathetic to find out the truth. This is exactly what prompted me to attend Allan Kittleman's town hall meetings and I found a very different candidate. The type of campaigning being done by Courtney Watson makes me think that she is willing to say anything to be elected. Can she be trusted to be our County Executive?
