A Baltimore man has been charged in a string of December home burglaries in Ellicott City, according to Howard County Police.
Cornelius Antonio McRae, 23, of Baltimore, has been charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and assault. He was arrested on Jan. 6 near the 81000 block of Tamar Driver in Columbia after police learned a burglary had been committed in that area.
McRae faces charges in connection with three residential burglaries Dec. 1 in Ellicott City – in the 9800 block of Madeline Court, 3700 block of Grosvenor Drive and 3800 block of Grosvenor Drive – and the Columbia incident.
Police said items stolen in the incidents included laptops, Apple products, wallets, purses, credit cards and money.
Investigators identified McRae as a suspect using pawn store records and by tracing fraudulent use of stolen credit cards to one area of Baltimore.
