Centre Park Grill to replace Cafe de Paris

Centre Park Grill, a new independent restaurant featuring American cuisine, will open shortly after New Year’s in the space formerly occupied by Café de Paris. The 6,000-square-foot restaurant has undergone extensive renovations to its kitchen, bar and dining room.
Owner James A. DiChiara says Centre Park Grill will add some local flavor to Columbia’s dining scene: “I live in Columbia, and it’s really underserved for good restaurants. … [There are] mostly chains.”
Centre Park Grill will be similar to his other restaurant, The Mt. Airy Tavern. “Our vision for CPG is a continuation of what we have done with The Mt. Airy Tavern for the past five years, which is upscale comfort food made from scratch with as many locally sourced, fresh ingredients as possible,” DiChiara says.
