Erin Matthews has wanted to own a bookstore since was a kid. Now, she owns two.
The newest Books With a Past location has opened in Historic Savage Mill, while the original store on Route 97 in Glenwood continues to thrive. Both sell an eclectic mix of used books, new releases and literary themed gifts. “
This was a great way for us to expand,” says Matthews, of the 1,500-square-foot space next to the game store on the mill’s first floor.
“I’ve been an avid reader, or book-aholic if you prefer, since I was very small,” she says. “This isn’t something I’ll get rich doing, so I have to love it.”
