If workers at the Lakeview Office Park on Broken Land Parkway in Columbia look especially happy these days, it may be because their lunch breaks have improved. Bon Fresco is opening its new location in the office building next month.
Owner Gerald Koh has sandwich bakeries on Oakland Mills Road in Columbia and Guilford Road in Annapolis Junction. “We’re working on the new menu — we’ll have some of the same breads, but different versions,” says Koh, a student of master baker Mark Furstenberg.
Naturally, the bread is what Bon Fresco is known for. Diners rave about the warm London Broil served with dijon mayonnaise, diced red onion and melted provolone on ciabatta; brie with caramelized onion and sun-dried tomato pesto on baguette; and roast turkey on walnut whole wheat.
Koh says the new location will be open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.
