“For many years, our family has gone on nature ‘treasure walks.’ ... Family bragging rights go to whoever finds the most colorful autumn leaf. We gather all of our favorite ‘treasures’ and make a beautiful centerpiece at our dinner table throughout the fall season. I look forward to bringing this tradition to Columbia.”

“My favorite fall activity is watching college football. I am a huge fan. I follow my alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi, and a few favorites in the major conferences, such as University of Mississippi, Alabama, Illinois and Northwestern. I also follow a few HBCU schools, including Jackson State University and Howard.”

“Cheerleading is special to me because it’s a fast-paced sport where every athlete must do their part in order for the team to be successful on the mat. There are no timeouts or redos; the smallest error impacts the overall scoring system. Because there’s so many variables to cheer, it’s also extremely inclusive to all athletes..”
