In a Class 3A/2A South Section II opening-round game Wednesday, Tess Kostelec scored eight goals and Jenna Oler made nine saves as Wilde Lake beat Long Reach, 16-12. It was the second victory for the Wildecats over the Lightning this season.

McHale said his team bent, but did not break.
"I'm proud of how we responded to the Long Reach scoring runs," he said.
