Oakland Mills was all business in its home game against Marriotts Ridge Monday night, as the Scorpions cruised behind one of the team's most balanced efforts of the season.
Six guys scored eight or more points, including a game-high 15 from Will Robinson Jr., to lead the way to a 75-34 win over the Mustangs. The 41-point margin of victory was the team's second largest of the season.
Oakland Mills (7-1, 9-2) wasted little time establishing a lead against Marriotts Ridge (3-5, 4-7). The Scorpions raced out to a 23-9 cushion by the end of the first quarter and then had extended that advantage to 46-18 by halftime.
Behind Robinson, Oakland Mills got big efforts from Mamadou Ndiaye (12 points), Daniel Kiely (11), Larry Aaron (10), Naquan Williams-Day (8) and Deion Graves (8). The point totals for Aaron and Graves were both season highs.
With the game well in hand, Oakland Mills was able to get some quality time for its bench as well. By the time the final whistle sounded, nine different guys had scored at least three points.
On the other side, Pat Clipp paced Marriotts Ridge with 14 points.
