Atholton and Marriotts Ridge took another step closer to a share of the Howard County field hockey title when they defeated Reservoir and Howard, respectively, on Monday. Because of weather conditions, both games were played on artificial turf fields.
Each team has one regular-season game left on its schedule, as does Glenelg, which is also tied for first in the county. All three teams have 9-1 records.
