Tail Lights, a 1.4-mile walk through Columbia’s Symphony of Lights, is back this year and will be held on Dec. 4 in Symphony Woods.
Dog owners are invited to participate in the walk from 4 to 5:45 p.m. The last admission will be at 5:15 p.m.
This year, Tail Lights will include a best-dressed contest, where pets will be judged based on criteria including creativity and holiday spirit, according to a news release. The top three winners will receive pet-friendly prizes.
Admission to Tail Lights costs $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Dogs and children under the age of three are free. Event information and registration is available by visiting www.hcgh.org/taillights or by calling the Symphony of Lights Information Line at 410-740-7666.
Symphony of Lights, presented by Macy's, is a fundraising event for Howard County General Hospital, with proceeds during the past 20 years totaling more than $1 million, according to a news release.
The display is located in Symphony Woods off Broken Land Parkway in Columbia. It opens Wednesdays through Mondays from 6 to 10 p.m. and is open rain, snow or shine. Symphony of Lights is closed Dec. 31 for the Midnight at 7 event. Private walk-throughs also are available for groups.
