Oakland Mills High School, Oakland Mills Middle School and Stevens Forest Elementary School have lost power, according to an alert sent by the Howard County Public School System Friday morning.
School system spokesman John White said power outages at the three schools were caused by an outage in the Oakland Mills community, and that BGE estimates that power will resume at approximately 12:45 p.m.
In the meantime, schools will remain in session and proceed as normal, White said.
