Agents with a state task force focused on protecting children from being sexually exploited on the Internet arrested a Columbia man after images of child pornography were allegedly found on computers and external hard drives at his home.
Alexander Hart Martin, 26, was arrested Thursday by officers with the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and charged with distributing child pornography via a file-sharing network, possession of child pornography and visual surveillance with prurient intent.
Earlier this month, a Maryland State Police computer crimes investigator and agents from the Department of Homeland Security carried out a search and seizure warrant at Martin's home on Eden Brook Drive, where they allegedly found computers and external hard drives that contained images of child pornography, police said.
Martin is being held at the Howard County Detention Center.
