The Columbia Association, in its 2013 Aquatics Master Plan, put forth the worthy goal of enclosing, by 2015, either the Dasher Green pool or the Locust Park site for indoor year round swimming. The plan was designed to relieve overcrowding at existing indoor pools.
Yet CA staff, in recent Columbia Flier interviews, say there isn't room in the capital budget for this project. Will swimmers speak up and ask the CA Board to honor its commitments and make room — capital funding and planning — for implementing the Master Plan according to their own deadline?
