As a businessman in Howard County for over the past 30 years, I have come to appreciate the importance of balancing economic, social and environment concerns. It has made Columbia and all of Howard County a much healthier and attractive place to live and to work.
In this upcoming election, I am supporting Courtney Watson for Howard County Executive and the Brown-Ulman ticket for governor/lieutenant governor. Courtney has demonstrated her knowledge of what it takes to run a business, listen to the needs of our citizens and take the tough steps to preserve and restore our open spaces, our communities, our air, farm lands, and our water. She has clearly demonstrated the talents needed to work through these tough decisions for the benefit of all.
Howard County under the management of the Ullman administration and the state under the management of the O'Malley/Brown administration have also demonstrated not only a commitment to the fiscal and environmental health of our communities, but have been leaders throughout the region. You many not think there is a big difference between the candidates running for these offices but their track records reveal that there is and that your vote is very important.
