Students will fit in at schools with diversity [Letter]

Regarding the giant "Kids Aren't Polygons" kerfuffle of 2017 ("New high school plan could slow redistricting," Sept. 21), I would like to offer our vocal yellow-shirted friends two thoughts:

First, if you are concerned about your kid ending up at Wilde Lake High School you should know that it is a fantastic school. Wilde Lake is not a clique, it's a family. The broad diversity of its student body is far and away its biggest source of strength. No matter who you are, you will find kindred spirits — and diversity of thought — here. Seriously, the adults who run our country could take a lesson from these kids.

Second, if you are truly concerned with breaking up the Dunloggin Middle School population, that is not a problem either. The Wilde Lake family would welcome all of the DMS kids, just like we do everyone else.
