On Wednesday, police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn said police got a tip about human trafficking and prostitution at the hotel off Washington Boulevard, where detectives recognized two women from a used for prostitution solicitation, police said.

After watching as Torres, Wilson and the two women entered and later left the room, police said detectives found Torres had posted prostitution ads on the website and took the money they were paid. The women, 28 and 29 years old, were also being physically assaulted by Torres, police said.

During the arrest, police said, Wilson was with Torres and had suspected heroin and crack cocaine in his pocket at the time.

Llewellyn said both women are receiving assistance following the arrest. Torres is currently being held without bond at the county jail, while Wilson is held on $100,000 bond.

As police continue to investigate prostitution and human trafficking in Howard County, officers ask the public to report any information to 410-313-STOP or HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
