The Stevenson University men's lacrosse coaching staff will be hosting a competitive one-day prospect camp for student athletes Sept. 28 at Stevenson University from 4-7:30 p.m. The camp is open to the class of 2016.  The camp will include a tactical skills session, full-field scrimmages, campus tours and a recruiting question and answer seminar. Cost for the camp is $125.  Participants must register in advance and provide their own equipment. For more information, contact Tim Puls at 443-352-4298 or gtpuls@stevenson.edu

Nightmare Graphics and the Turf Valley Towne Square will host the 2nd Annual Turf Valley Trot 10K and Family Fun Walk to benefit the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation on Nov. 23 at the Turf Valley Towne Square Shopping Center in Ellicott City. Adults and children of all ages are invited to register. Participants in the 10K race will traverse across the entire 18-hole cart path of the Turf Valley Original Golf Course. The cost is $50 and $35 for those ages 9-22 if registered by Nov. 10. The cost is $60 on the day of the event. The Fun Walk costs $20 and children 8 and under are admitted free. Tennis

The Baltimore Tennis Patrons Association is forming fall and winter indoor teams and instructional tennis programs for Howard County boys and girls 4th grade through 12th grade, post-beginner through tournament levels. The programs include travel teams that will represent Howard County in the USA Tennis Junior Indoor Leagues, and instructional programs for less experienced players. Travel team practices and home matches will be played at the Columbia Athletic Center, and Owen Brown Tennis Club, instructional programs will be conducted at Forty West Racquet Club. The programs are conducted on weekends October through March.

Soccer

The Soccer Association of Columbia Juniors Program is a fun-filled introduction to soccer. SAC offers six, one-hour weekday or weekend sessions for ages 3-4 throughout the year in Howard County. Celebration Church's 13U AAU boys basketball team is looking for players. The team practices twice a week and participates in both league and tournament play.
