Sports Camps and Clinics
The Chenier-Wingfield Basketball Camp will be held at Wilde Lake High School for two weeks this summer, July 27-31 and August 3-7, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8 and up. The 2015 Lady Vikings Basketball Camp, hosted by Mt. Hebron varsity coach Tony Bell, will be held at Mt. Hebron High School June 29-July 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. The camp is for girls ages 11-14. For more information, contact Anthony_bell@hcpss.org.
The Zingos Lacrosse Club Face off Clinic is being held on June 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Glenelg Country School's turf field. The cost is $25 for non members. Register at zingoslax.com.
The Oakland Mills High School Baseball camps will be held at Oakland Mills High School in two different sessions. The first is June 29-July 2 and the second is July 27-30. Camps are from 9 a.m. to noon each day and the cost for each camp is $100. Contact matthew_sillers@hcpss.org to reserve a spot.

Running
The Centennial Fun Run will begin the 2015 summer season on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. The one-mile run is held in the Centennial Neighborhood and is sponsored by the Howard County Striders. This first run of the summer will be a fund-raiser to assist with medical expenses for Tom Green, an elite distance runner and pioneer Strider member. The suggest donation is $3 per person. Soccer
The Soccer Association of Columbia is now registering players for SAC Training Academy Summer Camps scheduled throughout the summer for players of all abilities, ages 5-14. Both full and half days sessions are offered. SAC also offers extended care from 4-6 p.m. for an additional fee.
SAC is now registering players for the Fall 2015/Spring 2016 season for the Clinic, Recreation and High School programs. The leagues are open to players from ages 4-19. Teams meet for eight weeks each season for practices and weekend games.
The SAC Juniors Program is a fun-filled introduction to soccer. SAC offers six, one-hour weekday or weekend sessions for ages 3-4 throughout the year. Topics include body awareness, agility, balance and ball control.

Baseball
The regular meeting of "Talkin' Baseball" will take place on June 13 at 9 a.m. at Brighton Gardens (7110 Minstrel Way, Columbia, MD). Softball
The Cindy LaRue Softball League, which is an informal co-rec league that plays games on Sunday afternoons at Wilde Lake Middle School fields during the summer months, is looking for women players ages 19 and up.
