Rec Sports: SAC teams shine at Columbia Fall Classic

The SAC Boys U10 Premier White squad captured the championship in the Columbia Fall Classic Tournament. Under the direction of head coach Carmen Juliano, the team made tremendous strides over the course of the past three months. Starting with a team that featured six new players, Juliano guided the way all the way to the title.

Members of the team are Liam Curran, Sam Bartley, Emmanuel Bekele, Jackson Graham, Sarantis Markaris, Eddie Aguilar, Ian MacIver, Christopher Pamukcoglu, Philip Washington and Eric Allen.

The SAC Premier Blue and Premier White girls teams captured first and second place, respectively, in the U9 top division at the SAC Columbia Fall Classic Tournament. The Premier Blue team did not allow a goal against en route to winning the title. The tournament took place Nov. 23-24.

Members of the Premier Blue team are Sydney Bollinger, Oriel Ockerman, Bridget Ford, Sophia DiPino, Erin Antone, Paige Sarama, Giavana Liberto, Grace Dunbar, Rebecca Fairbanks, Abigail Eldridge and Mary Sommer. The team's coaches are Mike Hoover, Adam Wrede (head coach) and Scott Sarama.

Members of the Premier White team are Taylor Jendrek, Mollie Anderson, Mira Shelat, Abigail Edwards, Puja Nanjappa, Casey Van't Hoff, Paige Concha, Amari Mehta, Amy Streett, Olivia Hoover and Natalie Rodriguez. The team's coaches are Mike Hoover, Adam Wrede (head coach) and Tony Concha.
