The Centennial 10-12 Columbia Ravens finished the regular season with an undefeated record of 9-0 and a No. 1 ranking in Maryland. They outscored their opponents 243-51. (See photo caption for team members)

The Free State Seniors 2014 Championship was held on Oct. 20 at the Queenstown Harbor - Lakes Course. Barry Andrews (Naval Academy GC) was the Low Gross Champion with a score of 72. Bill Stricker (Piney Branch GC) was the Low Net Champion with a score of 71.

Running

The Howard County Junior Striders competed in the seventh and final cross country race of the season in Middletown on Oct. 26. Many will compete on Nov. 2 in an attempt to qualify for Nationals in Nashville on Nov. 22.

Almost 40 runners came out on a pleasant fall afternoon to run the Howard County Striders weekly race at Clarksville Elementary. Eric Johnston and Natalie Smolyak were the two-mile winners.
