Jump Rope
Twenty-eight members of the Kangaroo Kids Competition Team competed at the USA Jump Rope Region 1 Championship at the Meadowbrook Athletic Center on April 25. The event featured 110 jumpers from seven different jump rope teams from Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The jumpers that finished in the top-five of their respective events advance to compete in the USA Jump Rope National Competition in June in Orlando, Fla.
The jumpers who will represent Kangaroo Kids at nationals will be: Maria Ciarrocchi, David Gordon, Cecilia Hartley, Christina Kratzmeier, Michael Laper, Megan McGuire, Ryan McGuire, Devin Meek, Jenna Meek, Drew Meininger, Mason Rogers, Beth Short, Cameron Simmons, Sophie Skalny, Lily Trossman, Sam Trossman, Lynn Walsh, Meg Weidman, Aaron Weingrad and Alison Young.
Also qualifying but not attending are Braedan Coghlan, Maya Francisco, Isla Gleeson, Matteo Herron, Mason Meek, Kirsten Prox, Abby Sanders and Greta Shambeau.

Volleyball
The Columbia Volleyball Club Falcons (12-U) took first place at the Revolutionary Rumble Tournament in Williamsburg, Va. on April 26.
Entering the tournament seeded first out of 20 teams, the Falcons battled against teams from Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina and lost only two sets over two days. They beat East Carolina (ECJVC) 12 Black in the finals.
Members of the team are: Hannah Carroll, Ingrid Chang, Mary Grace Goyena, Alyssa Kelly, Madison Mayer, Rachel Odonkor, Caroline Pearce, Brenna O'Reilly, Ryan Rorls and Brooke Watts.
