Volleyball
The Columbia Volleyball Club Falcons 12U team won gold at Columbia 12's Invite Open Tournament in North Laurel on March 7. The Falcons were undefeated on the day. Members of the team are Rachel Odonkor, Brooke Watts, Hannah Carroll, Ryan Rorls, Ingrid Chang, Caroline Pearce, Brenna O'Reilly, Alyssa Kelly, Madison Mayer and Mary Grace Goyena.
Running
After three weeks of cancelled races because of winter weather, runners were eager to get back out for the Howard County Striders weekly series races. The first race of the spring, which took place on Match 8 at Northfield Elementary school, saw 63 individuals come out.
Mark Eagles and Tammy Liu were the winners of the 5k race.
