Columbia Ravens 10-12 team finishes second at state championships

The Centennial 10-12 Columbia Ravens completed the 2014 season with a 12-2 record and final ranking of No. 2 in the state. The team played the undefeated Randallstown Panthers in the Maryland State Championship game and suffered a hard-fought, 18-12, loss in overtime. On the season, the team scored 334 points while allowing only 90.

The women's teams from Top Flight Gymnastics competed in the Christmas City Classic in Bethlehem, Pa., on Dec. 20-21.

Level 7 (Junior A): Rhisen Davis: 1. Vault (9.825).

Seventy-two runners came out Thunder Hill Elementary School to run the Howard County Striders winter weekly race on Jan. 4. Ted Poulos and Kate Wolpert were the two-mile winners, while Karsten Brown and Terri Wytko paced the 10k runners.
