Howard County Swimmers take center stage at annual high school meet

While swimming is not offered as a varsity sport in Howard County, area high school swimmers got their chance to compete against one another on April 19 in the 38th annual Howard County Invitational swimming championships.

There were a total of 164 swimmers, representing the county's 12 public high schools, participating in the meet held at Howard Community College. Between individual races and relays, there were a total of 28 events combined between the boys and girls.
