Howard County Housing is accepting applications for the October enrollment period of its Moderate Income Housing Unit (MIHU) program.
The enrollment was scheduled to begin Oct. 1 and will run through Oct. 31.
The MIHU program requires developers to sell or rent a percentage of new units to households of moderate income.
As part of the program, the county will hold a workshop on Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Gateway Building, 6571 Columbia Gateway Drive in Columbia.
An applicant's household income may not exceed 80 percent of the county's median income, which is $108,844 for a family of four. Applicants must also meet minimum credit score requirements. According to a news release, base sale prices for units can range from $136,000 for a condominium to $255,000 for a townhome.
