The Columbia Association partnered with Boy Scout Troop 618 on Saturday to plant 10 seeds for American Chestnut trees, which were wiped out of the area during a blight last century.

The planting is part of a reforestation effort put forth by the American Chestnut Cooperator's Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing back the species.
