BP Gas station employee assaulted in theft [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. Descriptions of perpetrators are included only when the description makes identification possible.

Ellicott City

Baltimore National Pike, 12:55 a.m. Feb. 20. Man entered BP Gas Station and tried to walk out without paying. Employee attempted to block exit. Man struck employee. Cash and cigarettes stolen.

Twin Stream Drive, 7800 block, 2:02 a.m. Feb. 14. Officers responding to call for burglary in progress encountered man close to house. Short chase ensued. Man captured. Second man also captured in woods. John Kirby Keohane, 19, of the 7700 block of Rockburn Drive, Ellicott City, and Darin Justin Ford, 19, of the 8500 block of Black Star Circle, Columbia arrested. Both charged with fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and disturbing the peace.

Elkridge/Jessup

Washington Boulevard, 7700 block, 1:35 a.m. Feb. 18. Man with face covered entered BP Gas Station and implied he had a weapon, demanded money from employee. Employee complied. Cash and cigarettes stolen. No one injured.

Washington Boulevard, 7500 block, 5:33 p.m. Feb. 17. Man entered In Step Leather and attempted to leave with several leather jackets. Employee tried to stop him but was knocked down. Man fled.

West County

Ten Oaks Road, 4100 block, 8:15 p.m. Feb. 15. Late reported incident. Several locked trailers broken into at All The Trimmings Inc.. Landscaping tools, backpack blowers and chainsaw stolen.
