East Columbia


Tamar Drive, 8800 block, 8:41 p.m. Aug. 26. Female juvenile victim saw man peering into kitchen window. Man knocked on door but she did not open it. Man has been seen exposing himself to victim on several occasions. Investigation ongoing.

Stevens Forest Road, 5600 block, 2:25 p.m. Aug. 22. Adult male victim assaulted by adult male acquaintance, robbed of watch. Victim taken to Howard County General Hospital with minor injuries. Tyran Malik Dobbs, 20, of Gwynn Oak, charged with robbery, second-degree assault, theft.

Skyrock Court, 8900 block, 11:15 p.m. Aug. 27. Handbags, clothing, video games stolen from residence. Rear basement slider found open, "Charlie" bar broken.

Sewells Orchard Drive, 6400 block, 1:05 a.m. Aug. 29. Male, female residents awoke to find man in their bedroom. Male victim fought briefly with man, who ran away with small electronics. Residents may have left front door unsecured. No serious injuries.

Dockside Lane, 7200 block, 6:03 p.m. Aug. 29. Sixteen-year-old male victim skateboarding, attempted to buy drugs from two men. Men threatened him knife, demanded money. Victim complied, men ran away. No one injured.

Quiet Hours, 6500 block, 10:30 a.m. Aug. 13 to 2:25 p.m. Aug. 29. Residence entered by breaking rear slider, coins stolen. Shed also entered, gloves stolen.

Westering Sun, 9300 block, 1:30 to 2 p.m. Aug. 30. Bike stolen from unsecured garage.

Pigeon Wing Place, 9200 block, 1 to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 30. Bikes stolen from open garage.

Broken Staff, 7500 block, 8:23 p.m. Aug. 31. Victim walking when man approached, threatened him, demanded wallet. Victim did not comply, walked away from man. No one injured.

West Columbia

Vantage Point Road, 5600 block, 3:06 a.m. Aug. 29. Man asked male victim for ride to Columbia from Baltimore. When they arrived, man implied he had weapon, demanded money. Victim complied, man ran away. Police found drugs at the scene, investigation ongoing.

Governor Warfield Parkway, 10100 block, 5:24 a.m. Aug. 28. Evergreens at Columbia Town Center employee found three men asleep in first floor game room. When confronted, men ran away. Nothing taken.
