Mellen Court, 9500 block, 2:30 p.m. Jan. 23. Elderly victim heard unknown man's voice inside residence and saw unknown man in kitchen. He tried to talk to her and offered to seal her driveway. Victim asked man to leave. Man got into a white work van and drove off. No signs of forced entry. Nothing stolen. No one injured.
Briar Court, 6200 block, between 11:45 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. Jan. 23. Entry gained to residence. Medications and cash stolen. No forced entry.
Quiet Hours, 6500 block, 9:50 p.m. Jan. 22. Victim approached by man who implied weapon, demanded money. Victim complied and man fled. No one injured.
Stevens Forest Road, 5700 block, between Jan. 21 and 4:19 p.m. Jan. 22. Entry gained to closet in apartment building by tampering with door. Packages stolen.
Blue Pool, 9000 block, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Jan. 20. Entry gained to garage. Bicycle and skateboard stolen. Juvenile, 13, of Columbia, charged with burglary.
Black Velvet, 9400 block, between 3:58 p.m. Jan. 5 and 1 p.m. Jan. 10. Late reported incident. Property representative discovered washing machine, dryer and stove missing from vacant residence. No signs of forced entry.
West Columbia
Liberty Street, 11300 block, between 9:50 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 25. Victim returned home and found front door knocked in. Jewelry stolen.
Columbia Road, 5600 block, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 20. Entry gained to vacant apartment through unknown means. Damaged caused.
