Foreland Garth, 6100 block, 9:17 p.m. Jan. 4. Man inside store when he saw man steal bicycle. Man tried to stop thief but was punched.
Owen Brown Road, 9700 block, 5:59 p.m. Jan. 3. Man was outside when approached by two men. One man threatened him with handgun while second man looked through his car. Victim went inside nearby residence and men fled. Nothing stolen.
Sweet Clover, 7400 block, 12:30 a.m. Jan. 2. Resident returned home and found electronics, cash and driver's license missing.
Cloudleap Court, 8700 block, 3 a.m. Jan. 1. Entry gained to residence by breaking window. Resident called police, who arrested man. Robert Ricardo Duncan, 28, of Columbia, charged with second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.
Hayshed Lane, 8500 block, between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 31. Entry gained to garage through unlocked door. Snow blower stolen.
Harp String, 7100 block, between 4 and 8 a.m. Dec. 30. Entry gained to residence through unlocked sliding door. Purse and phone stolen.
West Columbia
Hickory Ridge Road, 10400 block, 7:59 p.m. Jan. 2. Victim returned home and discovered lights were on. Cellphone missing.
