Columbia man charged in attempted robbery at Exxon station [Columbia Crime Log]

East Columbia

Blade Green Lane, 8800 block, between 7 p.m. Oct. 10 and 2 a.m. Oct. 11. Late reported incident. Electronics and bicycle stolen from residence. No signs of forced entry.

Monarch Mills, 7500 block, between 4 p.m. Oct. 10 and 3:40 a.m. Oct. 11. Entry gained to apartment by prying window. Electronics, clothes and personal items stolen.

Triscross Drive, 5600 block, Oct. 10. Entry gained to residence by breaking window. Television and electronic gaming system stolen.

Foreland Garth, 6000 block, 8:52 p.m. Oct. 8. Two victims inside Exxon approached by suspect who searched pockets. Nothing stolen. Victims provided police with suspect description. Officer observed suspect nearby. Darius Guy Wimbley, 24, 9434 Kilimanjaro Road, Columbia, charged with two counts of attempted robbery.

Dockside Lane, 7200 block, between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. Oct. 7. Two bicycles stolen from backyard.

West Columbia

Buttonhole Court, 6600 block, between 10 p.m. Oct. 8 and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9. Entry gained to residence through unlocked window. Television stolen.

Cardinal Lane, 6400 block, between 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7 a.m. Oct. 7. Three bicycles stolen from an open garage.
