Community members will be able to meet with Howard County police officers in an informal setting as the Howard County Police Department begins its monthly Coffee with a Cop this week.
The first meeting is Thursday, April 2, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the downtown Columbia Wegmans.
Members of the police department's expanded Community Outreach Division will attend, as well as patrol officers and the police department's mental health liaison.
Coffee with a Cop continues the first Thursday of the month. Locations will change each month and will be announced on the police department's Facebook and Twitter accounts, and posted at hcpd.org.
