The Jewish Federation of Howard County invites Jewish women ages 10 and older to sign up for The Great Big Challah Bake, which will take place on Oct. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lubavitch Center of Howard County.
Over 100 women are already signed up to come together and bake challah and learn the spiritual significance of the braided bread in the Jewish faith, according to Hedy Tanenholtz, a committee member of the Federation's women's division.
"I'm really looking forward to connecting with other Jewish women in my community and sharing this very special time-honored tradition with all Jewish women around the world," said Tanenholtz.
Admission to the event costs $10 and includes supplies. Registration is required to participate.
