Howard Co. police charge three with burglaries

Three Howard County men face burglary and related charges after police made arrests in a series of burglaries from October and December, county police announced Wednesday.

Brandon Waverly Bonner, 30, of the 9000 block of Watchlight Court in Columbia, was arrested last month in connection with a string of residential burglaries in Columbia in October 2014, police said.

Bonner has been charged with two counts each of first-, third-, and fourth-degree burglary, two counts of theft, and one count of malicious destruction of property stemming from burglaries that happened on Majors Lane and on Phillip Dorsey Way, both in Columbia.

Police said they also beleive Bonner is a suspect in other recent burglaries. He is being held on $200,000 bond.

Police also charged two other county men late last month in an unrelated series of burglaries that occurred in western Howard County.

Allen Michael Harris, 25, of the 8700 block of Town and Country Boulevard in Ellicott City, has been charged with two counts each of second-degree assault, second-degree assault of an officer, second-degree burglary, rogue and vagabond, and four counts of theft, police said.

Joshua Alexander Santilli, 25, of 15000 block of Frederick Road in Woodbine, has been charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary and rogue and vagabond, and four counts of theft, police said.

Police arrested Harris and Santilli in connection with multiple shed and garage burglaries that occurred on Forsythe Road in Sykesville, Pfefferkorn Road in West Friendship, and Castlebar Drive in Glenwood in December.

Police believe the two may be connected to other recent burglaries.

Police urge area residents to check exterior sheds and garages and to file police reports if they discover signs of a break-in or notice missing items.

Harris and Santilli are being held on $120,000 and $77,500 bond, respectively.
