Columbia Rouse Co. building construction burglarized twice [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Columbia Flier includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

Little Patuxent Parkway, 10200 block, between 4 p.m. Nov. 25 and 7 a.m. Dec. 2. Entry gained to enclosed storage at Rouse Co. building construction site by cutting padlock. Leaf blower, air compressor and grease gun removed.

Little Patuxent Parkway, 10200 block, between 5 p.m. Nov. 26 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 27. Entry gained to trailer at Rouse Co. building construction site. Keyed padlock removed from door. Locks to additional storage cabinets cut. Copper tubing from trailer removed.

East Columbia

Overheart Lane, 6500 block, 6 p.m. Dec. 2. Victim was walking home when approached by five or six juvenile subjects. One subject asked to hold iPod victim had. Victim refused. Subject grabbed iPod. Victim walked away. Investigation continues.

Patriot Lane, 5200 block, 8:37 p.m. Dec. 1. Delivery person for Philly's Best Pizza approached house. Observed two men come from rear of house. Two other men exited blue minivan parked on street. One man produced a knife and demanded food. One man reached into victim's pants pocket and stole cash. Four ran to van and fled.

Quiet Hours, 6500 block, between 6 p.m. Nov. 27 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 29. Entry gained to Chimneys of Cradlerock by breaking window. Cash taken from open laundry machine.

Early April Way, between 7:15 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Nov. 25. Apartment bedroom window shattered. Residence entered. Television, laptop and money stolen.

West Columbia

Daystar Court, 10300 block, 6:42 p.m. Nov. 26. Pizza delivery driver hands man pizza and waits for pay. Man turns around and walks back into residence without paying. Officer attempted to make contact with residence and found it vacant. Vacant home had rear slider without locks. No subjects inside. Investigation continues.

Little Patuxent Parkway, 10300 block, 3:57 p.m. Nov. 26. Man approached victim and asked for dollar. Victim did not have dollar. Second man approached victim and punched him in head. Victim's cellphone stolen. Victim transported to hospital for treatment.
